COVID-19 UPDATE

As the situation surrounding COVID-19 continues to evolve we have been carefully considering how to plan for The Mane Event over the next few months. We have come to realize that, with things still in flux, and the fact that we are unable to predict exactly where things will be in October, we must make the difficult decision to postpone The Mane Event set to take place October 23-25, 2020 at Heritage Park in Chilliwack, BC. Under the current guidelines and regulations, and since BC Health still has not announced when the province will be moving into Pase Four, we are unable to produce the event in the way we need to to ensure it is successful for our vendors, our clinicians, and our participants. Everyone’s safety and health must be our number one priority.

We had been hopeful that life would have returned to normal by now. We are committed to producing our in-person events again next year. Mark your calendars for 2021 when we anticipate returning to Red Deer, AB on April 23-25, 2021, and to Chilliwack, BC in October 2021!

We have observed how many other long-running, large-scale conventions and trade shows from various industries have successfully created alternatives to in-person events for their participants.  So we are going to follow suit by hosting a “Virtual” Mane Event for October 23-25, 2020. It will feature posts from exhibitors, along with live lectures from your favourite trainers plus additional special features suited to a virtual event. Keep checking the official Mane Event Page for details as they become finalized.

We again want to thank everyone for their continued support of The Mane Event.  We wish everyone continued good health and well-being as we move towards what will hopefully be a New Year that begins to look more “normal”.  We look forward to celebrating with you in 2021!

Why is The Mane Event in Chilliwack, BC postponed to 2021?

BC remains in a state of emergency due to the ever-changing COVID-19 situation. On May 6th, 2020 BC Premier John Horgan along with provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix unveiled a reopening plan, where Phase Four would allow peopling gathering in large groups and international tourists will be welcomed to BC. When at least one of the three factors are met, activities and venues that require large gatherings, such as the Mane Event, can then resume operations. Since the date of Phase Four still hasn’t been announced we cannot continue to plan for a “live” Mane Event.

What are the dates for The Mane Event in Chilliwack, BC in 2021?

We are working with Heritage Park to confirm the dates for 2021 as we are trying to move the event closer to the middle of October. We will post the dates on our website and through social media as soon as we have those dates secured.

What trainers/clinicians are lined up for The Mane Event in October 2021?

The lineup for The Mane Event 2020 was epic and the event was on track to be one of the best ever. We are working with everyone to reschedule their appearance at the 2021 event. Keep an eye on the website for the confirmed lineup.

When can I buy tickets for The Mane Event in 2021?

Once we have clear direction from BC Health, the City of Chilliwack, and Chilliwack Heritage Park regarding the 2021 event we will release the tickets. We anticipate that they will go on sale starting on July 1, 2021.
